Evening Canoe and Hot Springs Soak (2007)
Sunday, Sept. 30, 6:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

After your day of travel to the outdoor mecca of Central Oregon, this evening experience will lead us to Paulina Lake for a sweet paddle on its glassy water. Our guides will provide some paddling instruction before an absolutely serene and stunning canoe ride to 103-degree natural springs. As we paddle out, the stars will begin to illuminate the encroaching darkness. At the hot springs we can soak our bodies a bit and enjoy some drinks before returning home.
Pick ups: Bend Old Mill District – 6:30p.m.; Sunriver Lodge - 7:00p.m.
$65 per person

Volcano Tour! (2007)
Monday, Oct. 1, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
This morning the journey will wend its way up the west flank of Newberry Volcano where we will then stand in the bottom of a volcano! We will first ascend Paulina Peak. From its 8,000-foot summit we will view 3 states and watch as the morning’s light bathes the Cascades. Next we’ll take a short walk on a mountain of black glass and learn how Native Americans traded this valuable obsidian around the continent. Finally, we’ll hike along the shores of sparkling Paulina Lake and traverse an old growth hemlock forest before heading back to Sunriver Resort.
Pick ups: Bend Old Mill District – 9:00a.m.; Sunriver Lodge - 9:30a.m.
$42 Adults, $37 Children under 12

Canoe the Deschutes River (2007)
Tuesday, Oct. 2, 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Two silvery ribbons carve Sunriver’s western boundary. These rivers, the earth’s life-blood, provide a dramatic means to take in the best of this area. Bald eagles, native rainbow trout, and mink cavort as we roll down the river. The headwaters of Spring River prove to be just that, ancient well springs bursting from the earth having descended from high in the Cascades. Our guides will instruct everyone on canoeing techniques and lead the group down the river while sharing the natural and cultural history.
Pick ups: Bend Old Mill District – 9:00a.m.; Sunriver Lodge - 9:30a.m.
$47 Adults, $42 Children under 12

Waterfall Walk (2007)
Wednesday, Oct. 3, 9:00a.m. – 1:00p.m.

A short jaunt into the forest brings us to a peaceful place on the Deschutes River. Our 3-mile round trip walk will take us through the forest and along spectacular lava flows where broiling water churns in the canyon below. We’ll witness the Deschutes River turn placid once again as it passes through wetlands and aspen groves along this gentle hike.
Pick ups: Sunriver Lodge– 9:00a.m.; Bend Old Mill District - 9:30a.m.
$42 Adults, $37 Children under 12
